About Us
Vishwaniketan Institute of Design is a new venture of Vishwaniketan Trust which was established by the group of experts from academia and industry with extensive experience in their respective fields of work.
It is Design School located in between prime cities of India, Mumbai and Pune offers a nature full environment with academics, workshops, industrial touch, research and application in the field of design. Vishwaniketan Institute of Design was Inaugurated on the August 3, 2019 at the Vishwaniketan campus in Khalapur, Maharashtra.
Vision
To create a thoughtful designer by using the ecosystem of arts, science, and technology to solve the current and future needs of the industry and society.
The school is based on a new curriculum that aims to Focus on students creativity, design, and application for the betterment of Society

Vishwaniketan-Teesside University Partnership (3 years in India + Final Year in UK )
About Us
Vishwaniketan has partnered with Teesside University from UK for this program. As part of this partnership students from Vishwaniketan will study the first three years at Vishwaniketan Institute of Design and their fourth year at the Teesside University campus in Middlesbrough, UK and be awarded a BA (Hons) degree
Teesside University offers unique and distinctive styles of courses with one aim in mind: to develop the next generation of problem solvers, innovators and leaders that employers and society need.
Aim is to provide applicants with an excellent university student experience, and at the same time to equip them with the skills, knowledge and confidence that will launch them, as a graduate, on their chosen career path.
Design, fashion and textile degrees combine artistic flair and creativity with teamwork and a business-like, client-focused approach – and teaching includes all of these strands.

Campus
The 20 acre campus gets a unique and original dimension as it is situated amidst the brilliant flora and fauna of the Sahayadri Ranges. Four institutions are built in one campus, Vishwaniketan’s Institute Of Management Entrepreneurship & Engineering Technology (ViMEET), Vishwaniketan College of Architecture, Arts & Design (VCAAD), Vishwaniketan Incubation Center (VIC) & Vishwaniketan Institute of Design (VID).All VID campus are open to visitors throughout the year from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (apart from public holidays).
Weather
The climate in Khalapur throughout the year is temperate-from being high in summer to being pleasant in winter. Its’ neither too hot nor too cold. It rains quite heavily during the monsoon months of June, July, August and September. Khalapur has dry periods in January, February, March, April, May, November and December. The climate is cooler in VID than its surroundings – the reason is that it is surrounded by greenery.
